In 2015, there were 6,175 people living with HIV or AIDS in Orange County, with a prevalence rate of 233 per 100K people, under the California rate of 376. But health officials say that there are still a lot of people out there who haven’t been tested and don’t know they are infected.

Their partners can take PrEP to protect themselves, but they should continue to use protection when having sex.
In 2017, 14,027 people in Orange County were diagnosed with chlamydia, at a rate of 438.2 per 100K people. The gonorrhea and (primary and secondary) syphilis rates were 111.7 and 11.5.
